Partnerships, Projects, and Purpose
At Knob Hill Landscape Company, giving back to our Central Illinois community isn’t just something we do, it’s who we are. By investing our time, resources, and talents into local projects and partnerships, we help strengthen the places where we live and work. It’s our belief that when our community grows, we grow too, together.
Supper & A Song Music Series
In 2021 and 2022, our Supper and a Song series has raised over $35k for local charities including WILD Canine, ABC Club, Illinois Stewardship Alliance, Land of Lincoln Pink Warriors, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Mini O’Berne Crisis Nursery.
Veteran Memorial Park - Petersburg, IL
With deep roots in the Petersburg and Greenview communities, Knob Hill Landscape Company was honored to contribute to the revitalization of Veterans Memorial Park in Petersburg, IL. As part of our commitment to community enrichment, we donated professional design services and the majority of labor to support the restoration of this important civic landmark dedicated to honoring our local veterans.
WFMB Teacher of the Month
In a partnership with Neuhoff Media and WFMB, Knob Hill Landscape Company is excited to enrich the lives of the teachers who give so much to our community. We are donating $500 to each winner for the whole school year.
Illinois State Fair
For the last 10 years we have donated about $2000 worth of landscaping to the Jr. Livestock shows to beautify the show rings and picture backdrops as well as the Governor’s Sale of Champions.
Pleasant Plains High School
In the spring of 2018 we donated design services and time to help their Horticulture class design and install the landscaping at the newly remodeled Pleasant Plains High School.
Greenview Fire Department
We finished a project for the Greenview Fire Department at their new fire station in 2018. As a thank you, Knob Hill donated a patio and grill station to the Department. Being originally from Greenview, we have known most of the volunteers our whole lives. We were proud to give back to a team that protects their town.
Robin Roberts Stadium
In 2025, Knob Hill Landscape Company partnered with Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois to design a custom beer garden space. This thoughtfully landscaped area offers a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere for fans to gather, relax, and enjoy the game.
Wooden It Be Lovely - Raffle House
Knob Hill partnered with Wooden It Be Lovely’s House Raffle Event in 2024. This local nonprofit empowers women recovering from hardship through transitional employment, mentoring, and housing. The raffle home was remodeled by program participants and community volunteers, with Knob Hill contributing professional landscaping. Proceeds supported survivor services and the purchase of a larger transitional housing facility.
Wilcox Elementary Garden Club
A highlight of 2024, Knob Hill had the pleasure of working with Wilcox Elementary’s Garden Club. From vibrant brick edging to a newly designed pathway leading to their greenhouse, students and field crew alike helped create a space where youth can learn, grow, and connect with nature.
