Backyard Resort: An Outdoor Living Masterpiece For This Central IL Homeowner

The owner of this property contacted us to design and build an outdoor living space to suit their needs now, but also through their retirement years. They wanted an in-ground pool to be the center piece of the project, with a small, backyard resort type of feel.

When planning this project, the elevation changes posed some challenges. Because of this a retaining wall had to be constructed at the same time as the pool was built in order to support the pool and pool deck upon completion. Sets of steps were constructed to create a multi-level patio for the outdoor living area. Seat walls and columns helped deal with the elevation changes in a functional way, in combination with the lighting in the walls, stairs, and columns to help accent all these features and really bring it to life at night.
