January has been full of planning, training, and industry learning as we set the foundation for a strong and successful year ahead. Here’s a look at how we are starting 2026 with purpose and momentum.

Time For a Change!
2025 brought incredible growth—and with it, the realization that we’ve officially outgrown our current space. After many great years at our Northside location, Knob Hill is preparing to move its headquarters to a larger, purpose‑built facility in Summer 2026. This new space will better support our expanding services, growing team, and long-term goals. Watch the video above for more insight into this exciting transition—more updates to come!

New Year, New Goals
We’re kicking off 2026 with focused budget planning, team training, and strategic meetings to ensure a strong start. Beginning the year with clear direction allows us to deliver smoother operations and exceptional services all season long.

Mid-American Pool Expo
Several team members spent the week in Indianapolis exploring the latest trends and innovations in the pool industry. They returned with new ideas and insights we’re excited to apply. Investing in continued education helps us bring better solutions to our clients—and we’re committed to that growth.

Aspire to Greatness
Members of our management team traveled to St. Louis for an in‑depth training on our Aspire software. We’re dedicated to maximizing this platform to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and elevate our operations across the board.
Designs For A Changing Climate: Insights from Knob Hill’s Experts
Climate change is reshaping plant preferences across the landscaping industry. Drier summers and unpredictable weather have shifted planting zones, making it harder for some longtime favorites—like Sky Pencil Holly, Sugar Maple, and Virginia Bluebell—to thrive. Unless specifically requested, our designers now use these plants far less often.
At the same time, interest in drought‑tolerant and xeriscape‑inspired designs is on the rise. Plants that can handle heat and inconsistent rainfall are becoming go‑to choices.
A few designer favorites:
Color Guard Yucca – Bold color and excellent drought tolerance, with foliage that warms to coral‑pink in winter.
Taylor Juniper – A narrow, upright juniper perfect for modern designs and tight spaces.
Blue False Indigo – A native standout with deep roots, vivid blue blooms, and year‑round visual interest.
The takeaway: The future belongs to plants that can adapt. At Knob Hill, we’re committed to designing landscapes that thrive in today’s climate—and tomorrow’s.
